Pasquale gained his experience in cultivation and agriculture by overseeing the land of the noble Guffanti family. Back then, noble families owned large amounts of land, but lived in the cities. They needed reliable and knowledgeable workers to manage the land, and Pasquale served as the head manager of the Guffanti’s land. Pasquale understood the value of agriculture and how to cultivate the grape vines. He eventually bought land from the Guffanti family and cultivated his own wheat and grapes.
In the early 1900s, with his son Romeo, Pasquale moved the company to where it is today, in Colombaia Guffanti, a distinct property located in the small town of Ziano, Italy.
In the 1940s, Pasquale’s grandson Terenzio (third generation of the Gaiaschi family) along with his wife Maria, modernized the business and began to focus on bulk wine production.
In the 1960s, the company began bottling wine after solely selling wine in bulk. The first labels were designed by a fourth generation Gaiaschi, Gianfranco (one of Terenzio’s sons) along with his schoolmates.
Now, the company is run by fourth and fifth generation Gaiaschi’s. Gianfranco and Adriano who serve as the fourth generation Gaiaschi winemakers, while Matteo, Gianfranco’s son, serves as the fifth generation Gaiaschi marketing and sales manager.
After completely renovating the cellar in the early 1990s and in 2017, the company has current technology and is a competitive wine producer.

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row gap=”30″
